However, molecular distillation, as an emerging separation technology, although not yet widely used in industrial production, can operate under extremely high vacuum conditions, allowing liquids to be separated at temperatures far below their boiling points. It is particularly suitable for the separation of high-boiling point, heat-sensitive, and easily oxidized substances. Therefore, molecular distillation is undoubtedly a more suitable choice for the preparation of cardanol.
